Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases. 

• Backup and disaster recovery efforts (copy, replicate, and periodic DR testing)

• Should perform the necessary replications to ensure high availability and data sync.

• Server clustering, scheduled backups, and mirroring.

• Monitor database performance and optimise SQL queries to improve efficiency. 

• Schedule regular backups and disaster recovery plans. 

• roubleshoot database issues and collaborate with developers on resolution. 

• Use and enforce security best practices to secure sensitive data. 

• Work with the IT support and development teams on database-related tasks. 

• Create and maintain documentation for database procedures and processes. 

• Keep up with the newest database trends and technologies. 

• Configure Azure services to fulfil organisational needs. • Design and manage cloud swap space. 

• Maintain Azure profiles and subscriptions.

Qualifications :

•  A bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a closely related subject.
  
  
• Relevant experience with SQL Server database administration (both on-premises and in Azure).
  
  
• A Microsoft-certified SQL Server administrator.
  
  
• Preferred to have Azure SQL certification.

• Fluent in both oral and written English.
  
  
• Strong analytical thinking.
